This performing edition is the final product of the Masters thesis: A Performing Edition of the 7 Ricercari for Violoncello Solo by Domenico Gabrielli, completed with the University of Queensland. Originally composed in 1689, the Ricercari are considered some of the earliest compositions for solo cello.
 
Recommendations are included for historically informed performance. Double notation is provided, offering the performer to play in modern tuning, or in Bolognese tuning (C-G-D-g).
 
Can be performed for List B in ANZCA Grade 7.
